The Impact of PCT’s Donation on the Emergency Gripping Venezuela

La Guaira, Miranda, and the Capital District (Caracas) are reliving very dark times. With a preliminary, independent tally already showing at least 1,450 fatalities, more than 3,360 injured, and some 2,927 affected families, the top priority is to save lives and support those who have lost everything.

For this reason, the funding provided by PCT has been immediately used to purchase essential supplies locally, which are being distributed transparently and independently across the three most critical areas:

In Shelters: We have funded the purchase of blankets, clothing, mattresses, and personal hygiene kits for children, women, and the elderly who are currently sleeping in makeshift community spaces after seeing their homes reduced to rubble in areas such as Catia La Mar.

In Hospitals and Health Centers: The local hospital network is working at full capacity and facing shortages. Our donation has enabled us to provide frontline medical teams with medical supplies, gauze, pain relievers, bandages, and disinfectants to provide emergency care to the injured.

In Areas Severely Affected: Recognizing that drinking water is now a scarce resource due to the emergency, we are delivering drinking water to families who had to flee their homes due to the risk of collapse.

The Strength of the Community on the Ground

This aid doesn’t travel alone; it moves forward thanks to a deeply human network. At PCT, we work side by side with volunteers, community committees, and partner organizations on the ground who know every street, every need, and every face. It is they who, risking their own safety in a crisis-stricken region, ensure that every item purchased with our donation is delivered directly into the hands of the victims.

Witnessing the resilience of a people rising up amid adversity and the dedication of our local teams shows us that no distance is too great when we are united by a common purpose: peace and human dignity.

Our mission continues: Your support is the driving force

The emergency in Venezuela will not end when the rubble stops shifting. The phase of humanitarian relief and rebuilding lives is just beginning. Every resource counts; every item purchased is a message of hope telling a Venezuelan family: You are not alone.

At Peace Communities Together, we reaffirm our commitment to continue channeling support and coordinating efforts from abroad. We invite you to be part of this relief effort. Your generosity is what makes it possible for us to continue providing medicine, water, and shelter to those who need it most today.
